“Once a Mentee or a Mentor”
We are at an all time low in the number of underrepresented minorities in the science.
NeuroGenerate is committed to increasing the number of underrepresented minorities in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) by developing a mentorship program and by awarding scholarships aimed at rising scientists as well as other STEM professionals.
NeuroGenerate Mentorship Program
At inception, The NeuroGenerate Mentorship Program will identify five high school students who will be paired with highly skilled mentors who are also knowledgeable about the challenges facing urban youth. (We believe that you must know where you have come from to know where you are going). For instance, students with a very strong interest in science will be linked with scientist, holding Ph.Ds. Moreover, students interested in medicine will be mentored by medical doctors. One-on-one mentorship will include academic advice on how to improve grades, picking courses, and applying for college. Through dedicated mentors we envision that all participants will be admitted to prestigious universities, and serve as ambassadors to our communities.
